Initially engaged by John Holland Group to transition the communications design to “AFC” status, L2iQ ultimately delivered the full communications systems integration and project Management from SCADA, to Brownfield optical fibre, CCTV, Control Centre and Passenger Information systems.
L2IQ was responsible for the integration, configuration, installation, testing & commissioning of critical data network for this project and integration with all required technology systems including voice radio, passenger information, CCTV security, SCADA and control systems.
L2iQ resources were responsible for the integration with SCADA and control systems as well as the final testing and commissioning of upgraded and expanded rail signalling system for the IWE light rail project.
L2iQ led the overall testing and commissioning programme for the Extension of the Inner West Light Rail. In addition L2iQ were accountable for deployment of all communications, stops systems, SCADA and Control system elements.
Throughout the project delivery, L2iQ resources also developed signalling and train control principles through reverse engineering of existing rail signalling and train control systems behaviour in order to drive verifiable and measurable like for-like operation of the extended network.
