Assisting our partners from JHG and CPB, L2iQ provided rail systems, integration, Validation & Verification, Testing & Commissioning and project delivery expertise throughout the project. Applying key competency in data networks, Information Security, Wireless Systems, Passenger Information and control systems including traffic prioritisation.

L2IQ was responsible for the deployment of the high bandwidth Wi-Fi based, Track-to-Train radio system for Light Rail Vehicles This system is critical for rail operations to transmit vehicle location, live CCTV, Passenger Wifi, Help Point Audio and vehicle telemetry data.

L2iQ resources managed the installation, testing, commissioning and integration of all rail signalling for Canberra Light Rail and OEM. L2iQ undertook commissioning and operational readiness with operator & maintainer.

Full road traffic priority system. First of its type in Australia where priority is managed via the road traffic control system (SCATS) L2iQ responsible for the system architecture, integration, configuration (including SCATS programming) Testing & commissioning and ongoing operations of the system.

L2iQ played an essential part of the delivery of the successful Canberra Metro Light rail project. As part of the overall Rail Systems delivery team, L2IQ held critical roles for leading the Design Integration and Testing& Commissioning aspects of the project.

In an Australian first, L2iQ was accountable for the overall design, systems architecture, configuration, Testing & Commissioning of the Traffic Priority System used for Canberra Metro. where traffic intersection priority is managed via the road traffic control system (SCATS).

As part of the Aecom/SMEC design joint venture, L2iQ is accountable for leading the Rail Systems design deliverables for the second stage of the Canberra Light Rail programme.

As part of this programme, L2iQ are accountable for the overall delivery of design, systems architecture, and implementation of the systems engineering process for Data Networks, Wireless Systems (Voice and Data), Passenger Information, CCTV& Security, Signalling and Control.

L2iQ also lead the RAM development for the complete light rail system, driving availability and service performance against Client requirements.
